Dominica Climate Resilience and Recovery Plan 2020-2030


The UKaid and UNDP Flexi Technical Assistance Fund (FTAF) -with support from the Department for International Development (DFID)-, promotes climate resilient recovery and development in Dominica, and supports the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica’s (GoCD) vision to become the world’s first climate resilient nation.

The FTAF has been designed to fund capacity building initiatives to support the leadership of the GoCD in developing systems and critical capacity to spearhead climate resilient development.

The Objectives of the FTAF:

  1. To identify key capacity needs of the GoCD in consultation with the CREAD and GoCD and use agreed criteria to prioritise capacity development.
  2. To fund capacity building to the GoCD through the Flexi Technical Assistance Fund (FTAF) based on Government of Dominica priorities and as agreed with DFID.
  3. To provide a coordinated approach to capacity development in the GoCD in support of systems change towards climate resilient development.

Applications for the second round of the FTAF are now open until 31 July 2020.  As per the ToRs of the FTAF, the fund is only open to the public sector of the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica (government ministries, departments, statutory bodies and agencies).
