Monitoring the Millennium Development Goals

In order to identify how the Millennium Development Goals are  progressing, the vulnerable areas within a region need to be closely monitored all the time. Problem areas must be identified and measured before attaching them so as to be able to see the progress made and the feasibility of achieving the Goal within the given time span.

MDGs are one of the critical monitoring elements for coordinating all global efforts toward sustainable human development. Being successful in implementing and realizing these goals will require inputs from donors' governments and communities. And although many have felt that the MDGs appear far-fetched and unrealizable, considerable progress in development has been achieved through addressing the issues raised within the context of the Millennium Development Goals. You can test your own knowledge of the MDGs by taking the MDG quiz.
