Ms. Cherise Adjodha

Cherise Adjodha has worked in the field of human rights and development for the last 20 years as a full-time staff member as well as an independent consultant with several organisations including; the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), The World Bank, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UNWOMEN), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Secretariat, OXFAM Canada and the Nova Scotia Public Interest Research Group at Dalhousie University (NSPIRG-Dal). Development activities have taken place in several countries including but not limited to: Grenada, Barbados, Dominica, Belize, Saint. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, Suriname and Canada.

Her expertise lies in the application of the human rights-based approach to development for technical support, research, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, lecturing and capacity building in areas such as gender equality, poverty eradication, sexual and reproductive health and rights, economic empowerment, statistical capacity building, sustainable development and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She volunteers regularly and appreciate opportunities to share knowledge for community led development.
