The auditorium at St. Leonard’s Boys School was the venue for a special concert last Saturday, a region-wide initiative called “Spice It Up – Sing for Preparedness,” which focused on encouraging youth to not only volunteer for non-governmental organisations (NGOs), but to assist in preparing for any natural or man-made catastrophes across the Caribbean.

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten – Section Head of Disaster Management Paul Martens, says that a bathymetric survey (mapping of the sea floor) will commence in the coastal waters of Sint Maarten on Saturday. A jet ski with survey equipment attached will start from the Philipsburg area.
