GEF/UNDP “Ridge to Reef” Project Supports Local Menu DevelopmentJul 3, 2017
The GEF/UNDP “Ridge to Reef” project supported a 1-day local menu development workshop with the goal of promoting the wider use of local produce, which was organised by the Marketing and National Importing Board of Grenada in collaboration with the Grenada Food and Nutrition Council.
The workshop provided a great opportunity for the participants to discover unconventional ways to use local crops (such as cassava) and to learn about vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free recipes catered to health conscious people. The event is one of the key initiatives of the project for promoting consumption of local agricultural products as a way to enhance local farmers’ livelihoods in a sustainable manner.
