For the first time in ten years, UNDP Barbados and the OECS welcomes a new international UN Volunteer. The long-awaited volunteer is Mr. Wonjae Lee from the Republic of Korea, and now he serves as an UNV Institutional Capacity Development Officer in the Governance Team.

The boundless creativity of young St. Lucians will be explored when Youth Talk Through Arts here in St.Lucia on November 17th. The talent showcase, will celebrate young people through music, dance, spoken word, drama, fashion, film and visual art. It will also support young artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their skills, while expressing themselves on issues affecting them in a non-judgmental arena.

The auditorium at St. Leonard’s Boys School was the venue for a special concert last Saturday, a region-wide initiative called “Spice It Up – Sing for Preparedness,” which focused on encouraging youth to not only volunteer for non-governmental organisations (NGOs), but to assist in preparing for any natural or man-made catastrophes across the Caribbean.
