At the Sustainable Development Summit at UN headquarters in New York on 25 September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), or Global Goals, as part of the larger 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that will finish the job of the MDGs, and leave no one behind.
In 2016, UNDP is continuing its work to strengthen post-2015 frameworks
for development, disaster risk reduction and climate change as they
help shape global sustainable development for the next 15 years.
